These pieces are made of hand dyed silk. The image is stictched in black thread -- much like a drawing would be made -- and each color is a separate piece of dyed silk, secured in place by the thread. Layers are added and removed, cutting around the image or inside it. Decorative stitching finishes the work. These pieces are all stretched over frames and ready to hang.
